Anaxos is the port of Skoutaros, a picturesque semi-mountainous village with beautiful traditional houses and a wonderful neoclassical building that houses the old Primary School. Picturesque taverns and modern hotel complexes and rooms for rent make up the image of the area.

In Anaxos every summer cultural events are organized with the title “Anaxiotika”.

Anaxos is rightly considered one of the five best and cleanest beaches of Lesvos, which has been certified with the Blue Flag for many years.

At one end of the sandy beach, in the winter months, a small river flows out, but in the summer months, the golden sand of the beach welcomes many tourists every day, who find it the ideal place to spend moments of relaxation and enjoy the blue waters of the Aegean in a friendly, welcoming and organized environment.
